We are very excited to announce that The Children’s House has officially rebranded to BrightPath Kids! Over 25 years ago, a small preschool opened up with the mission of educating today's children for tomorrow's world. Having traveled extensively, founder Karin Lyman knew that tomorrow's world would expand into a global society, so she set out to develop a program for young children that would broaden their minds, help them learn to respect others, build connections and follow their curiosities. The first Children's House center opened on the west side of Cincinnati in 1996.
Now, having grown to six locations, The Children’s House has brought an innovative and exciting outlook on education to young children across the Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky regions. The concept behind the company was to bring a new cutting-edge and thrilling approach to the education of young children that blended the best of Montessori and traditional methods with an added touch of excitement and fun.
Karin believed in carefully balancing traditional, standardized approaches in learning areas such as language and math with a play-based approach built around concepts that children are interested in. BrightPath will continue and expand upon this approach with the introduction of our new BeeCurious curriculum. "BeeCurious" is a holistic program that celebrates learning as a joyful experience and aligns with children's natural curiosities. It provides children with autonomy through choices, guided explorations, and multiple forms of expression, creating awareness of self, others, cultural diversity, global stewardship, community, and natural environments. It sets the foundation for self-aware, open-minded, well-rounded children to thrive in a dynamic, diverse, global society.
We are confident that our new curriculum will provide an exceptional educational experience for your child. Our team of experienced and dedicated teachers will be implementing this new program with enthusiasm, and we look forward to seeing the positive impact it will have on the children in our care.
The Children's House’s mission, "Preparing Today's Children for Tomorrow's Future," aligns with BrightPath’s commitment to ensuring that all children have "The Best Start in Life." Both of these vision statements provide a foundation that ensures children will be ready for whatever may come their way in the future, allowing children to explore the world around them, examining their environments and fostering their innate curiosity through hands-on interactions of their individual journey of learning.
