Tax Savings and Incentives

Certain tax credits and savings programs may help lower the cost of child care for eligible families:

• Child Care Expense Deduction: This federal deduction allows eligible taxpayers to deduct child care expenses incurred for services such as caregivers, day nursery schools, day camps, and educational institutions that provide child care services. Please visit here for more information.

• Ontario Childcare Access and Relief from Expenses (CARE) Tax Credit: For residents of Ontario, this refundable tax credit provides additional support by allowing families to claim up to 75% of their eligible child care expenses. For more information please visit this link.
