Sing the song, Five Little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed with your child. Use your fingers to represent the monkeys and encourage your child to do the jumping. Exaggerate your facial expressions throughout the song to show a range of emotions. Ask your child how the Momma may have felt when she called the doctor. “What about the monkeys?” “How did they feel?”
Monkey and apes use tools such as sticks to find food to eat. What tools do we have in our home to help us? With your child explore tools in the kitchen such as a serving spoon, whisk, garlic press or spatula. What do we use them for?
Let your child explore the materials.
