Pom-Pom Scoop
Provide a sorting tray, pom-poms and a serving spoon to your infant. Encourage them to spoon pom-poms into the tray. Encourage your infant to sort the pom-poms by colour. Describe the colours available.
Physical Literacy
Ball in the Hoop Game
Place a hula hoop outside on the grass. Have a variety of balls and with your infant throw them around the yard. Count down from 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 and then run with your infant to get all the balls and place them in the hula hoop. Exaggerate the pace to make it more fun. Be sure to celebrate with your infant once all the balls have been collected.

Infant Yoga
Your infant continues to become more aware of their body as they grow. Practicing yoga poses with your infant is a wonderful way to connect with them and supports building their own confidence. Language Development
Daily Routine
Create a visual schedule of your older infant’s day. Take and print photos throughout the day (mealtimes, playtime, outdoor time, naptime, bath time) Show each photo and describe the routine as you get ready for that routine. With an older infant, encourage them to show you the next routine.
Creative Activity
Sensory Ball Painting
Provide your infant with a tray, paint and paper. Provide a sensory or knobby ball and encourage your infant to roll the ball through the paint. Add descriptive words while your child explores the ball and makes a mark. “The ball is slippery now.” “The paint is squishy” “I see blue marks all over the paper” This will get messy and will be so much fun!
