BrightPath Southwood Child Care Centre
Our centre is situated on Elbow Drive, kitty-corner from the Southwood United Church and easily reached from main roads such as Southland Drive or Anderson Road. The centre is licensed and accredited and offers 80 child care spaces for 19-months to 6-year olds.
Highly committed to literacy and instilling a love of reading, the centre has created its own little onsite library that allows children to borrow books and share those they have loved with others. Starting at the preschool age-group, the children are also taken on regular trips to the local Southwood Library to partake in sessions held there as well as to borrow books.
Located close to community parks and schools, the centre often makes use of green spaces and playgrounds at the Southwood Community Association, St. Stephen School

Toddler (18 Months - 3 Years)
Toddlers are naturally curious, energetic, and eager to explore. Our toddler program fosters independence while encouraging language development and social-emotional growth. Through hands-on activities, play-based learning, and structured routines, toddlers gain foundational skills for future learning.
Key Focus Areas:
- Supporting independence (self-feeding, dressing, potty training)

Preschool (3-4 Years)
Preschoolers are eager learners, exploring their world with curiosity and excitement. Our preschool program builds upon their natural interests, incorporating early literacy, math, science, and creative expression into their daily routines. Play-based learning helps children develop problem-solving skills, creativity, and social connections.

Conveniently nestled amidst ample parking, our center ensures stress-free drop-offs and pickups for our valued families.
We support children’s healthy growth by providing nutritious, scratch-made meals developed with guidance from a Registered Dietitian. Our menu uses fresh, often local ingredients, rotates every four weeks, and changes seasonally for variety. Centres are nut-free, and the team works closely with families to accommodate allergies, sensitivities, and cultural or medical dietary needs.
