BrightPath Richmond Child Care Centre

Tucked into a quiet corner of London Place West at the intersection of Sarcee Trail and Richmond Road, BrightPath Richmond is situated on the old Christmas Tree lot across from Boston Pizza. Conveniently located near the southwest arm of the proposed ring road, this centre provides access to a convergence of main roads including Sarcee and Glenmore Trail as well as Richmond Road.

The fully licensed and accredited centre provides 247 spots for child care for 6-week to 5-year olds as well as before and after school care for 6 to 12-year olds. The centre features three floors with more than 20,000 square feet of space and includes amenities such as a spacious kitchen, a ramp and elevator for easy access, outdoor play yards at the back of the centre as well as an indoor gym that allows for play and activity during inclement weather. The centre is secured, and only current families are granted access through key cards; all others are greeted by an admin staff and vetted before being granted visitor access.

BrightPath Richmond encourages physical activity and offers ever changing extra-curricular programs such as Ballet, Hip Hop and Sports Jam in addition to inter-curricular programs like Music and Body Movement which are included in the monthly activities at the centre.

Affordable Child Care in Alberta: BrightPath offers high-quality, affordable early learning and child care with a new universal fee structure effective April 1, 2025. Families with children up to kindergarten age will pay a flat monthly fee, while preschool and out-of-school care programs have specific subsidy options. Learn More

We also provide transportation for school-aged children to Holy Name School and Battalion Park, ensuring a safe and convenient option for families.

Centre Programs

Infant

Infant (6 Weeks - 18 Months)

Our infant program provides a warm, nurturing environment where caregivers form close bonds with babies, ensuring a secure and trusting relationship. Each infant follows their own schedule, with individualized care routines for feeding, sleeping, and play. Our educators support early development through sensory exploration, attachment-based play, and language-rich interactions, including the introduction of basic American Sign Language (ASL).

Toddler

Toddler (18 Months - 3 Years)

Toddlers are naturally curious, energetic, and eager to explore. Our toddler program fosters independence while encouraging language development and social-emotional growth. Through hands-on activities, play-based learning, and structured routines, toddlers gain foundational skills for future learning.

Pre-Schooler

Preschool (3-4 Years)

Preschoolers are eager learners, exploring their world with curiosity and excitement. Our preschool program builds upon their natural interests, incorporating early literacy, math, science, and creative expression into their daily routines. Play-based learning helps children develop problem-solving skills, creativity, and social connections.

Kindergarten

Before & After School Care

Before & After School Care (5-12 Years)

Our school-age program supports children’s continued learning and social development through before- and after-school care. With homework help, enrichment activities, and recreational play, children have a safe and engaging environment to continue their growth.

Centre Director

Dina Ammar is the Centre Director at BrightPath Richmond. She holds a Bachelor of Child & Youth Care from the University of Victoria, as well as an Early Learning & Child Care Diploma from Bow Valley College. Dina also holds a Level 3 Child Care Certificate and has completed various certifications in child development, safety, and first aid.Throughout her time at BrightPath Richmond, Dina has held several roles, including Educator, Floor Supervisor, and Assistant Centre Director.
