BrightPath Professor's Childcare Lake Centre
Overview
Down the road from the Brampton Civic Hospital, BrightPath Professor’s Lake is tucked away in a strip mall that backs onto Bovaird Drive East but with access to its parking lot off Philosopher’s Trail at Professor’s Lake Parkway. The centre shares the large parking lot with the neighbouring businesses but there is always ample parking available for parent drop off and pick up. Centre security is ensured by keypad access for enrolled families only. The centre is close to bus stops and minutes from Highway 410.
BrightPath Professor’s Lake prides themselves on their staff. They love engaging with the children every day and watching them grow through all their milestones.
The centre holds accreditation with Raising the Bar and is committed to maintaining provincial regulatory standards as well as local community standards of quality child care. One of the smaller centres in the BrightPath family at only 46 licensed spaces, the centre prides itself on its family-like atmosphere. Although small, BrightPath Professor’s Lake offers child care for 18-month to 5-year olds and out of school care for 6 to 12-year olds.

Centre Director
Karla received her Early Childhood Education from Centennial College and started her career in child care in 2000. She started working for BrightPath in 2010 and has been in management since 2011.
Karla’s favourite part about being a Centre Director is building relationships with the families that come through the centre every day. She enjoys having the ability to participate in all the different programs her centre has to offer. Karla loves to be able to support her educators and watch them reach and exceed the goals they have set. She likes to be able to network with all the other centres and share ideas and successes.
Born and raised in Scarborough, Karla is a wife and busy mom of three young children and now resides in Brampton. She has a large family and loves spending time with them, but taking vacations is her favourite way to unwind. Karla enjoys listening to all genres of music and watching all types of movies and loves to sit down and really get to know people she encounters.
