Okotoks, AB

What Sets Us Apart

Our award-winning curriculum was formed through in-depth research into early childhood learning and development. A blend of play-based (Frog Street) and child-led (Emergent) curriculums, all activities are hands-on, child-guided and exceed provincial early learning frameworks.

Our dedicated and passionate early childhood educators deliver an innovative, engaging and proven curriculum that ignites a love of learning and inspires and encourages individuality in every BrightPath child. Their nurturing and attentive approach offers each child a home-away-from-home experience.

Two-way communication is important. Monthly newsletters, curriculum nights, parent interviews, open houses and our proprietary app (BrightPath Connect™) are designed to increase the interaction between our centres and families.

Children need nutrition to grow in both mind and body. Believing that food choices throughout childhood fuel life long eating habits, our menu is crafted by a Registered Nutritionist and prepared in-house daily and reflects those beliefs.

About The Centre

BrightPath Okotoks is conveniently situated on McRae Street in a quieter part of downtown Okotoks across from the Okotoks Olde Towne Plaza, home of the “Light Up Okotoks” tree.

The fully licensed and accredited centre offers 56 spaces for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years. It prides itself on the warm and cozy feeling you experience when you walk through its doors and the staff are eager to envelope you in the feeling of being extended family. Due to its smallness, everyone in the centre is familiar with each other and no matter if they are staff, children or families, individuals are recognized and made part of the whole.

Offering an attached playground, children are able to spend time in age-appropriate outdoor spaces that enhance the learning they experience in the classrooms.

BrightPath Okotoks is proud to offer complimentary diapers and wipes to children 2 and under.

Judith Peralta, Centre Director
BrightPath Okotoks

Meet The Centre Director

Judith graduated from Saint Louis University in the Philippines with a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education, the equivalent of a Child Care Supervisor in Alberta. She has worked in the child care field since 2005 and joined the BrightPath family in July 2017.

Judith’s favourite part about being a BrightPath Director is taking advantage of additional training and support available to her so that she can pass this along to her staff and support the families in every way possible. She loves working with children as they teach her to be more sensitive to the needs of others. She believes that children are like sponges – absorbing things that they see or words that they hear.

Parents to two teenagers, Judith and her husband have been married for nearly twenty years. Relocating to Canada in 2007, Judith’s family followed in 2011. In her spare time, she keeps busy as secretary of the Okotoks Fil-Can Society and she absolutely loves organizing parties!
