What Sets Us Apart

Our award-winning curriculum was formed through in-depth research into early childhood learning and development. A blend of play-based (Frog Street) and child-led (Emergent) curriculums, all activities are hands-on, child-guided and exceed provincial early learning frameworks.

Our dedicated and passionate early childhood educators deliver an innovative, engaging and proven curriculum that ignites a love of learning and inspires and encourages individuality in every BrightPath child. Their nurturing and attentive approach offers each child a home-away-from-home experience.

Two-way communication is important. Monthly newsletters, curriculum nights, parent interviews, open houses and our proprietary app (BrightPath Connect™) are designed to increase the interaction between our centres and families.

Children need nutrition to grow in both mind and body. Believing that food choices throughout childhood fuel life long eating habits, our menu is crafted by a Registered Nutritionist and prepared in-house daily and reflects those beliefs.

About The Centre

Located in the Hermitage Road Shopping Centre (aka the Hermitage “Street Mall”), BrightPath Hermitage’s unassuming front hides a hidden treasure of fun features. The centre has a comfortable feel with each room offering a different element that makes it special and different from the next. The toddlers are at home in the castle room, the preschoolers get comfortable in their playhouse and loft and the out of school care kids chill out in their very own loft area.

BrightPath Hermitage has been established in its community for many years and is a trusted child care provider that receives many referrals from parents and local schools. The centre is licensed and accredited and offers 152 spots for child care of 6-week to 5-year olds as well as before and after school care for 6 to 12-year olds. Besides its themed classrooms, the centre also offers a large outdoor play yard that provides space to learn while being active and its indoor gym provides a place to run off energy even in inclement weather.

The centre’s school-aged children have access to five schools, one within walking distance and four accessible via the centre’s bus.

Gloria’s favourite part about being a BrightPath Director is being able to create a safe, positive and enriched learning environment for children and educators alike. Encouraging parental involvement, Gloria establishes a sense of trust and security so that parents are comfortable at work knowing that their child is in a nurturing environment.

Originally from Chile, Gloria speaks Spanish and English. In her spare time, Gloria looks forward to spending time with her family and practicing meditation and yoga. She likes to explore new places and experience different cultures, traditions and food from different countries.
