What Sets Us Apart

Our award-winning curriculum was formed through in-depth research into early childhood learning and development. A blend of play-based (Frog Street) and child-led (Emergent) curriculums, all activities are hands-on, child-guided and exceed provincial early learning frameworks.

Our dedicated and passionate early childhood educators deliver an innovative, engaging and proven curriculum that ignites a love of learning and inspires and encourages individuality in every BrightPath child. Their nurturing and attentive approach offers each child a home-away-from-home experience.

Two-way communication is important. Monthly newsletters, curriculum nights, parent interviews, open houses and our proprietary app (BrightPath Connect™) are designed to increase the interaction between our centres and families.

Children need nutrition to grow in both mind and body. Believing that food choices throughout childhood fuel life long eating habits, our menu is crafted by a Registered Nutritionist and prepared in-house daily and reflects those beliefs.

About The Centre

Located in the heart of the Bowness neighbourhood, just a few steps away from Bowcroft School, BrightPath Bowness is easily accessible both by Bowness Road as well as Sarcee Trail and 16th Avenue.

The centre offers child care for children from 6 weeks to 5 years old and before and after school care for children from 6 to 12 years old. It is fully licensed and accredited and features 106 spaces in total. Our highly-multicultural centre is welcoming to all – children, parents and staff – and celebrates its diversity in the classroom through teaching about the cultures represented in the centre as well as events involving our families. The centre offers a large outdoor space, divided by age and skill-level to engage children while providing a safe space for learning based on development of the individual. Finally, Bowness is walking distance away from Bowcroft and Our Lady of the Assumption Schools providing easy access for our school-aged kids without the need to ride a school bus.

Jaylyn Legge, Centre Director
BrightPath Bowness

Meet The Centre Director

Jaylyn started working in the childcare field in 2004. She graduated with her Degree in 2008 and has been working with children ever since. Jaylyn joined the BrightPath team in 2012, and has experience working with children in many different settings – school board, daycare, day home and in-home support. She is now the Director of the BrightPath Bowness Centre.

Jaylyn loves being part of the BrightPath team. She enjoys being there to support children, educators and families. Watching the children grow and flourish, she is proud to say that she is part of an amazing team. Originally from Ontario, Jaylyn and her husband – along with their three children – relocated to Calgary in 2010. On weekends, you can usually find them bouncing from the hockey arena, to dance class and back to the ballfield. She spends as much time as she can with her family, but she does love to get away for a little shopping time now and then.
