The Busy Bees Talent Exchange Program is a unique initiative that provides our dedicated employees a chance to experience best practices in early childhood education. From September 25 to October 13, select Busy Bees educators will immerse themselves in different cultures from around the world, connect with experts in their field, and build lifelong international relationships.

The Talent Exchange Program will be held in Calgary, Alberta this year. The program will bring together Busy Bees educators worldwide, all centered around the theme of “Remember to Breathe.” The goal of this prestigious program is to give participants practical experience and focus on developing benchmark practices that support Early Childhood Educators. Participants are required to develop and implement key takeaway projects, which they will present to the North American CEO and COOs before departing Canada. Upon returning home, Busy Bees educators will channel the same projects into a tangible outcome and present that throughout their region, centres, and to their Territory’s Executive Team.

Busy Bees has a significant presence in ten countries, including the UK, Ireland, Italy, Canada, USA, Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Australia, and New Zealand. Now in its fifth iteration, the Talent Exchange Program represents their dedication to promoting professional development and collaboration among educators on a global scale.

What the Talent Exchange Program Offers

At its heart, the Talent Exchange Program aims to empower educators globally. It's designed to provide hands-on experiences that foster innovation, challenge pre-existing notions, and furnish Busy Bees educators with the skills to thrive in their profession. Participants can look forward to:

Hands-On Experience: Acquire real-world insights into early years care and education by working overseas. Observe directly how various cultures prioritize learning and caregiving.

International Best Practices: Engage with a range of teaching methods, innovative techniques, and proven strategies globally. Exchange knowledge and adopt new concepts to bolster one's capabilities.

Cultural Enrichment: Revel in the diversity of cultures by collaborating with peers from different backgrounds. Welcome unfamiliar traditions, create enduring relationships, and enhance one's global perspective.

Project-Based Learning: After returning, every participant must finalize a project based on their overseas experiences. This not only cements their experience but also adds to the collective wisdom of the Busy Bees family.

Managing Challenging Behaviours: Discover effective strategies to prevent and address challenging behaviors through positive reinforcement and balanced routines.

Value of Individualized & Inquiry-Based Learning: Explore how personalized instruction and inquiry-based approaches cater to diverse learning styles.

Indoor & Outdoor Learning Connection: Learn to craft inspiring outdoor environments that seamlessly integrate learning and active play.

Optimizing Family & Staff Relationships: Cultivate an inclusive atmosphere that fosters positive relationships with families and staff for collective success.
