What Sets Us Apart

Our award-winning curriculum was formed through in-depth research into early childhood learning and development. A blend of play-based (Frog Street) and child-led (Emergent) curriculums, all activities are hands-on, child-guided and exceed provincial early learning frameworks.

Our dedicated and passionate early childhood educators deliver an innovative, engaging and proven curriculum that ignites a love of learning and inspires and encourages individuality in every BrightPath child. Their nurturing and attentive approach offers each child a home-away-from-home experience.

Two-way communication is important. Monthly newsletters, curriculum nights, parent interviews, open houses and our proprietary app (BrightPath Connect™) are designed to increase the interaction between our centres and families.

Children need nutrition to grow in both mind and body. Believing that food choices throughout childhood fuel life long eating habits, our menu is crafted by a Registered Nutritionist and prepared in-house daily and reflects those beliefs.

About The Centre

BrightPath Lawrence Avenue can be reached from Highway 97 (aka Harvey Avenue) and Gordon Drive. The centre is two blocks west of the Apple Bowl Stadium along Bernard Avenue and Lakeview Street.

The centre offers 140 fully licensed spaces for child care for 6-week to 5-year olds as well as before and after school care for 6 to 12-year olds. The centre’s early childhood educators are ASQ trained which allows them to observe a child’s developmental journey and document their progressions while having the tools to share and document milestones and any concerns that may arise to ensure no child is left behind.

BrightPath Lawrence Park has a large and diverse outdoor space. There are four play yards which are divided into age-appropriate spaces. The play yards are covered in artificial ground covering which is great for use in all seasons. There is also a large grassy field that the children are able to utilize for their play. These two options provide them the best of both worlds – the ease of use of the artificial turf which allows the centre to bring indoor classroom materials outside without damage as well as the natural space to allow children to explore and learn in a natural environment.

Finally, the centre offers a hot lunch and two snacks prepared onsite daily by their own chef.

Meet The Centre Director

Stacey has worked in the childcare field for over twenty years and joined the BrightPath team in 2003. Stacey is fully qualified with her Early Childhood Educator and Infant Toddler license to practice.

Stacey’s favourite part about being a BrightPath Director is observing the children’s growth and development while reaching their individual milestones within the curriculum. She appreciates the evolving relationships with children, parents and her amazing staff. Serving as a role model, Stacey provides children in her care with the appropriate tools that they need to succeed on a daily basis.

In her leisure time, Stacey enjoys spending time with her family and pet, camping, walking or partaking in other outdoor activities. As well, she is actively involved with her daughter attending Girl Guides of Canada within the community.
