BrightPath Cochrane Child Care Centre

Our BrightPath Cochrane child care centre near you offers an assortment of activities that foster hands-on and child-guided learning opportunities. We also offer a wide variety of developmentally appropriate child care programs for all age groups: infants toddlers and preschoolers. Our daycare offers learning environments that use natural materials to stimulate children's growth and development. At our daycare, we focus on building relationships and encouraging independence so children attending our daycare can feel safe and secure while striving to their fullest potential.

BrightPath Cochrane is situated in the first building on the right when taking the exit to historic downtown Cochrane off Highway 1A. Centrally located on 1st Street, the centre provides a large parking lot for families dropping off and picking up.

Fully licensed and accredited, the centre provides 120 spaces for child care for 12-months to 5-year olds and before and after school care for 6 to 12-year olds. The centre provides bussing to five local schools to best serve the school-aged children in the centre.

Large windows make the centre feel bright and airy. The centre is secured by key cards provided to each family. A ground-level entrance provides effortless access by stroller or wheelchair. Daily lunch and snacks are prepared fresh onsite daily in the centre’s spacious kitchen and served family-style. Finally, the three outdoor play yards offer age-appropriate environments for children to learn and explore.

We also provide transportation for school-aged children to Fireside and Glenbow Elementary, ensuring a safe and convenient option for families.

Affordable Child Care in Alberta: BrightPath offers high-quality, affordable early learning and child care with a new universal fee structure effective April 1, 2025. Families with children up to kindergarten age will pay a flat monthly fee, while preschool and out-of-school care programs have specific subsidy options. Learn More

Infant

Infant (6 Weeks - 18 Months)

Our infant program provides a warm, nurturing environment where caregivers form close bonds with babies, ensuring a secure and trusting relationship. Each infant follows their own schedule, with individualized care routines for feeding, sleeping, and play. Our educators support early development through sensory exploration, attachment-based play, and language-rich interactions, including the introduction of basic American Sign Language (ASL).

Toddler

Toddler (18 Months - 3 Years)

Through hands-on activities, play-based learning, and structured routines, toddlers gain foundational skills for future learning.

Pre-Schooler

Preschool (3-4 Years)

Our preschool program builds upon their natural interests, incorporating early literacy, math, science, and creative expression into their daily routines. Play-based learning helps children develop problem-solving skills, creativity, and social connections.

Our school-age program supports children’s continued learning and social development through before- and after-school care. With homework help, enrichment activities, and recreational play, children have a safe and engaging environment to continue their growth.

Centre Director

Cortney Deeves has been in the child care industry for over 15 years. She started her career in London, Ontario where she graduated from Fanshawe College. She continued to move all around the tri-cities, working in child care until she made the decision to move out west. Originally, Cortney moved to Canmore where she worked in child care for 4 years at the local facilities until she decided to make the move to Cochrane where she and her family now call home!
