What Sets Us Apart

Our award-winning curriculum was formed through in-depth research into early childhood learning and development. A blend of play-based (Frog Street) and child-led (Emergent) curriculums, all activities are hands-on, child-guided and exceed provincial early learning frameworks.

Our dedicated and passionate early childhood educators deliver an innovative, engaging and proven curriculum that ignites a love of learning and inspires and encourages individuality in every BrightPath child. Their nurturing and attentive approach offers each child a home-away-from-home experience.

Two-way communication is important. Monthly newsletters, curriculum nights, parent interviews, open houses and our proprietary app (BrightPath Connect™) are designed to increase the interaction between our centres and families.

Children need nutrition to grow in both mind and body. Believing that food choices throughout childhood fuel life long eating habits, our menu is crafted by a Registered Nutritionist and prepared in-house daily and reflects those beliefs.

Brenda Kunjur, Centre Director

Meet The Centre Director

Brenda has been in child care since 2007 when she started working in a day home in Winnipeg. She started her Early Childhood degree at the Red River College but then moved to Calgary in 2008 where she completed her correspondence Early Childhood Management Degree. During this time, she worked in the toddler room in a child care centre for three years, as a nanny for two years, then in the school-age program for three years before having her first child. Upon returning to the field, Brenda joined BrightPath Acadia where she worked her way up from the toddler room, to Assistant Director to now Centre Director.

Brenda’s favourite part about being a BrightPath Director is the interactions with the children and seeing the bonds families have with one another. She loves hearing the families share stories and interacting. Brenda believes the atmosphere of a child care centre is of the utmost importance; where the child’s happiness, growth, safety and well-being are top priority.
Brenda loves the outdoors and likes to go camping and hiking with her husband, daughter and family dog. She also likes to travel and was married in India at a rooftop wedding overlooking the ocean.

Her favourite childhood memories are the times spent with family, especially her grandparents. She hopes that at her centre, she can also create such long-lasting memories for the children and their families.
