Highly referred by families in the neighbourhood, BrightPath Academy Leaside, previously known as ABC Leaside is accessible on the corner of McRae Drive and Randolph Drive, with Eglinton Ave and Laird Drive being the nearest major intersection. The daycare centre is attached to the Toronto Fire Station 321, where a parking lot and slanted parking to the side are conveniently located for pick-up and drop-off times throughout the day.
At BrightPath Academy Leaside, we pride ourselves in being the best ‘first away-from-home village’ family to the children in our care. Educators and caregivers are consistent and highly attentive to all the children’s interests and skills, and we are intentionally integrating Family involvement into our curriculum. We believe that all units are essential in being partners to enhance every child’s learning experiences by building strong home-child care relationships from the start until the children graduate from the daycare program.

Laile Esguerra has been working in child care for over ten years and has been with BrightPath Academy, previously known as ABC Academy, since 2016. She holds a Diploma in Early Childhood Education from Seneca College and a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology. Her journey with BrightPath Academy began as an educator in the preschool program, then she joined the management team as an Assistant Centre Director, and she is excited to now take on the role of Centre Director of BrightPath Academy Leaside.
What Laile enjoys most about being a Centre Director is having the opportunity to help children learn and thrive at an early age. Her experience as a parent has taught her how high-quality child care can positively affect all types of families. She truly believes that raising a child requires a village, and the most fulfilling part of her day is making the most meaningful contribution to the lives of children and families on a daily basis.
She was born and raised in the Philippines but moved to Canada as a teenager. Although the move came with challenges, she loves Toronto's diversity, and as an adult, she recognizes all that Canada has to offer. Laile enjoys spending time with her family and dog and making arts and crafts in her free time. She is also fluent in Tagalog.
