BrightPath Ellington Child Care Center

"Four wonderful years with BrightPath Ellington: Exceptional staff, welcoming environment, and a place my daughters eagerly look forward to every day!" - Angela Missino

Welcome to BrightPath Ellington Early Learning & Child Care, a NAEYC-accredited daycare and preschool located at 137 West Road in Ellington, CT. Previously known as Educational Playcare Ellington, our center proudly stands out in the community through longstanding relationships with local families, exceptional word-of-mouth referrals, and a warm, welcoming, family-oriented atmosphere.

BrightPath Ellington features purpose-built spaces, thoughtfully designed with spacious, vibrant classrooms filled with abundant natural light, creating nurturing environments for infants, toddlers, preschool, and pre-k children. Families particularly appreciate our engaging indoor spaces, our expansive outdoor play areas that encourage active learning and exploration, and recent upgrades to our preschool playground, enhancing children's outdoor experiences.

Safety is our top priority. Our comprehensive security measures include camera systems throughout the center, auto-locking doors, constant front-desk supervision, and personalized keypad access for families. All our teachers are certified in First Aid and CPR, and our center is equipped with Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs). Additionally, we go beyond standard safety requirements by having trained staff proficient in medication administration and the use of Epi-Pens, providing families with complete peace of mind.

Our educational approach revolves around the innovative BeeCurious Curriculum, an engaging, inquiry-driven framework that nurtures children’s innate curiosity through holistic, play-based learning. Each day at BrightPath Ellington includes diverse and enriching activities in Math Discovery, Creative Expression, Physical Literacy, Language & Literacy, and essential social-emotional skills. Children also benefit from special curriculum highlights like our beloved Mud Day, outdoor art projects, and interactive animal experiences right in our lobby, including observing chicks and ducklings as they hatch and grow.

We proudly integrate American Sign Language (ASL) into our daily curriculum, empowering children by involving them directly in their learning process. Starting with foundational signs for infants and progressively introducing additional signs as children grow, our ASL program fosters bilingual abilities, accelerates speech and language development, enhances memory, reduces frustration, and strengthens parent-child bonding. ASL is a fun, engaging way to help children express themselves and communicate more effectively, resulting in advanced language skills and improved academic outcomes.

BrightPath Ellington maintains strong community connections by actively participating in local events such as the Trail of Treats and sponsoring community groups like the Boy Scouts. Our dedicated educators, many of whom have served our community for years, create close-knit relationships with families, offering personalized care and attention to each child. Families consistently praise our teachers for loving and nurturing children as if they were their own.

Choose BrightPath Ellington for exceptional child care and early education delivered in a supportive, community-focused environment. Here, your child becomes part of our extended family, receiving the personalized care and engaging experiences needed to thrive and flourish.
