The Children's House Montessori Windsor Childcare Centre
The Children’s House Montessori Windsor centre may be the most accessible location in the group. Located right by the interchange of Herb Gray (aka Highway 401), E.C. Row Expressway and Huron Church Road (aka Highway 3), the centre is situated across from Bellewood Park and Bellewood Public School. It is also only minutes away from the University of Windsor as well as the Canada-US border.
The centre offers 237 licensed spaces for child care of 6-week to 6-year-olds as well as before and after school car of 6 to 13-year-olds. Spread over three levels the centre is secured with key cards to ensure the security and safety of the children and staff in attendance.
TCH Windsor is proud of its onsite French-immersion KinderCasa. This not only provides an alternative to public school kindergarten it also provides the first level of French immersion that readies children for immersion programs at school. School-aged children have access to a public school bus stop to be transported to École Monseigneur Jean Noël or walk across the street to Bellewood Public School.
The centre offers a large outdoor space that features three play structures, shady trees and age-appropriate learning materials to extend learning and fun into the outdoors.
Antoinette has been part of the TCH family since September 2004. She has a diploma for Infant and Toddler training from the North American Montessori Centre and was a Toddler Directress for a number of years before becoming the Program & Admissions Director. In September 2011, she took on the role of Principal of TCH Windsor.
Antoinette’s favourite part about being a TCH Principal is being able to help those around her become the best they can be. She believes that all children can learn but each learns in a different way and at different rates. Also, with hard work and perseverance we can touch each child in a special way. Keeping the atmosphere positive is the key to success as well as keeping the lines of communication open among staff, students and parents. Antoinette believes that teamwork is the ultimate way a school can be successful in reaching the goal of helping a child attain his or her full potential.
Antoinette is fluent in both English and Italian. She is Mom to two teenaged children who are very interested in sports. Most of the time Antoinette can be found either on the soccer or football field watching them play. In her spare time, she enjoys camping and spending time with close family and friends.
What our families think about TCH Windsor
"I love this center, my two daughters love here so much. Everyday they say bye happily when I drop them off and same smile on their faces when i come to pick them up. (I can not forgot my older daughter`s crying when i drop off and pick up her to the one of other day cares, while she was 1 year old .....) Because of the our schedule we always pick them up our kids randomly time, never feel they were treat differently in different time period. Kids also learned a lot when they are here. Principles and staffs who have been teaching my kids are very nice, they always listen to our concerns and answer our questions. Just want to say thank you to all the staff."
"Have only good things to say about the CHM on Labelle. All three of my children have attended and have enjoyed their time with the wonderful staff. They have always liked the food and the weekly food schedules constantly change. They enjoy their outside time and LOVE music with Mr. Brendan. They have gained close friendships at the school and my older children still talk about their teachers and how much they miss them! I have always felt welcomed in the school any time of day and find they answer all of my questions. Great Montessori!"
