Who We Are

We Really Care About What We Do

Everything we stand for revolves around providing the very best in care for your children. Here at Manotick Montessori Casa Dei Bambini, we understand just how tough the decision and transition can be to send your child to child care.

Who is going to look after my child? Will they be safe? What will they do all day? Are they going to be challenged?

These are all questions we have wrestled with as parents. We would like you to consider us as an extension of home; a caring and nurturing place where your children are intellectually and emotionally stimulated by dedicated staff that are not only early childhood educators, but amazing human beings.

What We Value image

What We Value

Our mission statement puts our customers first and defines our purpose clearly – to provide the best intellectual, social and physical child development programs on the market and to deliver them in the safest of environments with the most capable and nurturing staff.

What sets us apart is our integrity. To that end, we build and design an experience we would want for our own kids. We embrace our responsibility as child care providers and promise to deliver daily against our four pillars; a winning combination of a creative Montessori curriculum, a masterfully crafted nutritional menu, expertise in early childhood education and great communication to you, the parent.

Our Staff image

Our Staff

We are powered by people. Here at Manotick Montessori, we pride ourselves on a people-first attitude and believe in the word ‘team.’ Led by our Principal, our experienced directresses are trained in the Montessori field and have a diverse set of credentials including Montessori training, Registration with the College of Early Childhood Educators and Bachelor’s degrees in various child care related fields. But first and foremost, they care and nurture your children, providing a home-away-from-home where creativity, learning and individuality are encouraged and respect for a child’s natural psychological, physical and social development provided to ensure each child can develop at their own pace.

Our Centre image

Our Centre

Manotick Montessori Casa Dei Bambini strives for excellence in curriculum and from its earliest beginnings, believed not only in the Montessori philosophy but also in the need for creativity. The centre has its own vision of how to help children learn and succeed. It boasts an incredible array of offerings such as choir, art and language as well as physical fitness that are part of its regular curriculum as well as a beautiful physical setting which allows for a lot of outdoor time and opportunities to explore the natural environment.

A Proud Member Of The BrightPath Kids Family

The story of BrightPath began under a different name. Originating in May of 2010, Edleun (Education Learning Universe) was formed with the acquisition of eleven child care centres in Alberta. With the vision of raising the standard of child care in Canada, Edleun began a pattern of rapid growth over the next three years, acquiring a total of 49 centres.

Post-acquisition, many changes were implemented in these existing facilities, including physical upgrades and product improvements. Educational curriculum and programming was rolled out at all age levels and a nutritious menu plan was introduced. Over the summer of 2013, Edleun transitioned to its new name: BrightPath.

Our growth has been both organic and acquisition-based in nature. In addition to our recently purpose-built BrightPath centres including Chestermere, Clayton Hills, Cochrane, Creekside, Sage Hill, Richmond and St. Johns in both Alberta and British Columbia, we have been fortunate enough to adopt additional marquee brands over the years including Brite Studios in Calgary, Manotick Montessori in Manotick, Queens Montessori Academy in Markham, three Children’s House Montessori centres in Windsor, four Little Scholars Montessori centres in Ottawa and 20 Peekaboo Child Care centres across Ontario.

What Sets Us Apart

Our Montessori curriculum is based on the teachings of Dr. Maria Montessori. Centred on self-directed activity, hands-on learning and collaborative play, the Montessori method develops independent thinking, motivation, persistence and discipline by allowing children to respond to their natural drive to work and learn.

Our dedicated and passionate early childhood educators deliver an innovative, engaging and proven curriculum that ignites a love of learning and inspires and encourages individuality in every Manotick child. Their nurturing and attentive approach offers each child a home-away-from-home experience.

Two-way communication is important. Monthly newsletters, report cards, parent interviews, open houses and our proprietary app (BrightPath Connect™) are designed to increase the interaction between our centres and families.

Children need nutrition to grow in both mind and body. Believing that food choices throughout childhood fuel life long eating habits, our menu is crafted by a Registered Nutritionist, is prepared in-house daily and reflects those beliefs.
