What Sets Us Apart

Our Montessori curriculum is based on the teachings of Dr. Maria Montessori. Centred on self-directed activity, hands-on learning and collaborative play, the Montessori method develops independent thinking, motivation, persistence and discipline by allowing children to respond to their natural drive to work and learn.

Our dedicated and passionate early childhood educators deliver an innovative, engaging and proven curriculum that ignites a love of learning and inspires and encourages individuality in every Manotick child. Their nurturing and attentive approach offers each child a home-away-from-home experience.

Two-way communication is important. Monthly newsletters, report cards, parent interviews, open houses and our proprietary app (BrightPath Connect™) are designed to increase the interaction between our centres and families.

Children need nutrition to grow in both mind and body. Believing that food choices throughout childhood fuel life long eating habits, our menu is crafted by a Registered Nutritionist, is prepared in-house daily and reflects those beliefs.

About The Centre

Manotick Montessori Casa Dei Bambini is located in a beautiful rural setting near the intersection of Dozois Road and Mitch Owens Road (aka Highway 8), just down the street from St Mark High School.

Established in 1999, Manotick Montessori is known for its reputation in the community it serves. The centre offers 71 licensed spaces for children 18 months to 6 years old and is proud to present a true Montessori experience for the Manotick area. Located on 15 acres of beautiful woodland backed onto its own private man-made pond, the centre looks like a traditional schoolhouse, complete with a bell tower and working bell which can be heard every morning, lunch hour and end of day. Its outdoor space features a rope climber, sandboxes, basketball courts and more, all looking out onto the pond, hills and nature trails surrounding the centre.

From its earliest beginnings, Manotick Montessori believed not only in the Montessori philosophy but also in the need for creativity. Today, the curriculum continues to evolve with additional creative programs not typically offered in this type of setting including Choir, Art and French Theory as well as Physical Activities and WeeMove.
