Stony Plain, AB

What Sets Us Apart

Our award-winning curriculum was formed through in-depth research into early childhood learning and development. A blend of play-based (Frog Street) and child-led (Emergent) curriculums, all activities are hands-on, child-guided and exceed provincial early learning frameworks.

Our dedicated and passionate early childhood educators deliver an innovative, engaging and proven curriculum that ignites a love of learning and inspires and encourages individuality in every BrightPath child. Their nurturing and attentive approach offers each child a home-away-from-home experience.

Two-way communication is important. Monthly newsletters, curriculum nights, parent interviews, open houses and our proprietary app (BrightPath Connect™) are designed to increase the interaction between our centres and families.

Children need nutrition to grow in both mind and body. Believing that food choices throughout childhood fuel life long eating habits, our menu is crafted by a Registered Nutritionist and prepared in-house daily and reflects those beliefs.

About The Centre

Part of “The Junction” strip mall, BrightPath Stony Plain is located on the corner of 49th Avenue and Golf Course Road. The centre is licensed and accredited with 151 spots for child care for 6-week to 5-year olds and before and after school care of 6 to 12-year olds. With plenty of parking, this centre allows for easy drop off and pick up.

The centre is especially proud of its outdoor area, with two spacious playgrounds – one specifically for Infants and the other shared between the rest of the age groups – there is plenty of space for physical activity, exploration and a large selection of age-appropriate learning materials.

BrightPath Stony Plain also makes use of local green spaces and parks with Whispering Waters Park ranking among the favourites. The centre takes children 3 years and up on outings to discover new and exciting environments that foster an entirely different way of learning than in the classroom.

Meet The Centre Director

Ashley started working in the field of educating children over eight years ago. She received her Childcare Worker certification through Grant MacEwan’s Early Childhood Development program. After gaining some hands-on experience in classrooms she earned her Childcare Supervisor certification at CDI’s Early Learning and Childcare program. Ashley joined the BrightPath team in 2011 and is our Director at Stony Plain.

Ashley’s favourite part about being a BrightPath Director is getting to partake in a child’s development and growth. Learning new things and educating our staff at the Centre gives her a great sense of accomplishment. She is enjoying the camaraderie and networking in dealing with the staff and other Centres.

Ashley is a busy Mom of two children and speaks both English and French. In her spare time she enjoys crafting, spending time outdoors and vacationing with her family.
