What Sets Us Apart

Our award-winning curriculum was formed through in-depth research into early childhood learning and development. A blend of play-based (Frog Street) and child-led (Emergent) curriculums, all activities are hands-on, child-guided and exceed provincial early learning frameworks.

Our dedicated and passionate early childhood educators deliver an innovative, engaging and proven curriculum that ignites a love of learning and inspires and encourages individuality in every BrightPath child. Their nurturing and attentive approach offers each child a home-away-from-home experience.

Two-way communication is important. Monthly newsletters, curriculum nights, parent interviews, open houses and our proprietary app (BrightPath Connect™) are designed to increase the interaction between our centres and families.

Children need nutrition to grow in both mind and body. Believing that food choices throughout childhood fuel life long eating habits, our menu is crafted by a Registered Nutritionist and prepared in-house daily and reflects those beliefs.

About The Centre

Our Philosophy

We believe that the early years are the most important for a child in terms of academic and social learning potential. Our Montessori curriculum teaches children about being independent, self-confident learners by allowing them to choose what they would like to learn. Our goal is to cultivate creativity, independence, self-esteem and a thirst for learning in children.

Montessori Environments

Our Montessori learning environment has been created to meet the needs of each individual child and it allows them to learn independently. Children from different age groups learn together, offering many different activities to interest children and allowing them to learn from each other and learn by helping each other.

Montessori Areas of Learning

Our main Areas of Learning include: practical life, sensorial, language and math.

Practical Life
This is an important area of learning, particularly for toddlers. Practical Life includes activities such as pouring, spooning, and folding provide an opportunity to develop hand-eye coordination as well as balance control.

Sensorial
This is an essential learning area for children that allows them to learn and discover through sensory activities. Classrooms contain patterns, symmetry and order.

Language
Children learn language and vocabulary skills quicker at a young age than they would when they are older. Our Language Area of Learning includeds speaking, development of vocabulary, expression of thoughts, recognition of letters, discrimination of shapes, sequencing and moving top to bottom and left to right.

Mathematics
In this Area of Learning, children learn rote counting through singing songs and fingerplays in groups. This area covers all the beginner conc epts of mathematics using inviting apparatus, working from ‘symbols’ to ‘quantities’, then leading to a combined understanding.
