What Sets Us Apart

Our award-winning curriculum was formed through in-depth research into early childhood learning and development. A blend of play-based (Frog Street) and child-led (Emergent) curriculums, all activities are hands-on, child-guided and exceed provincial early learning frameworks.

Our dedicated and passionate early childhood educators deliver an innovative, engaging and proven curriculum that ignites a love of learning and inspires and encourages individuality in every BrightPath child. Their nurturing and attentive approach offers each child a home-away-from-home experience.

Two-way communication is important. Monthly newsletters, curriculum nights, parent interviews, open houses and our proprietary app (BrightPath Connect™) are designed to increase the interaction between our centres and families.

Children need nutrition to grow in both mind and body. Believing that food choices throughout childhood fuel life long eating habits, our menu is crafted by a Registered Nutritionist and prepared in-house daily and reflects those beliefs.

About The Centre

Located on the edge of Eastview Estates, on the corner of 30th Avenue and Ellenwood Drive, BrightPath Eastview features great accessibility while still retaining a residential feel.

The centre is fully licensed and accredited. Offering 57 spaces to 6-week to 6-year olds, the centre has been incorporating natural materials into their classrooms bringing nature into their environment and invoking a more home-like atmosphere. The outdoor space also reflects this intention through large planter boxes that the children get to plant and tend, learning about plants through germinating seedlings, watering and caring for their charges, harvesting and finally enjoying their crops in their meals, prepared by the onsite cook.

Proud of its long-term staff, the centre offers great consistency for children as they know their caregivers and enjoy strong, uninterrupted relationships as they progress through the centre’s age-groups.

BrightPath Eastview also offers onsite Kindergarten in the morning. This allows for kindergarten-aged children to stay at the centre instead of having to be transported to a school for half days and gives them a year respite before having to go to school offsite when they enter grade one.

Jennifer Hermary, Centre Director

Meet The Centre Director

Jennifer received her Child Development Supervisor certificate in 2005 from Red Deer College. She joined the BrightPath team shortly after her graduation and is now Director of the Eastview Centre. Jennifer has had the opportunity to work at all three beautiful BrightPath Centres in Red Deer.

Jennifer’s favourite part about being a BrightPath Director is that every day will be new and different with lots of growth and change. She gets to see children form, shape and grow to young adults – sometimes from infancy! Jennifer enjoys assisting staff with achieving their goals in reaching the children’s learning milestones. No matter what her day throws her, Jennifer always has children around to make it a good and memorable day.

Being born and raised in Alberta, Jennifer moved around a lot and was able to see many parts of the province. As an adolescent, she grew up in Red Deer where she started her journey in childcare. Being a mom to boys, Jennifer and her family enjoy special moments doing things outdoors and camping. Some of her hobbies are colouring, scrapbooking and playing Lego with her sons.
