What Sets Us Apart

Our award-winning curriculum was formed through in-depth research into early childhood learning and development. A blend of play-based (Frog Street) and child-led (Emergent) curriculums, all activities are hands-on, child-guided and exceed provincial early learning frameworks.

Our dedicated and passionate early childhood educators deliver an innovative, engaging and proven curriculum that ignites a love of learning and inspires and encourages individuality in every BrightPath child. Their nurturing and attentive approach offers each child a home-away-from-home experience.

Two-way communication is important. Monthly newsletters, curriculum nights, parent interviews, open houses and our proprietary app (BrightPath Connect™) are designed to increase the interaction between our centres and families.

Children need nutrition to grow in both mind and body. Believing that food choices throughout childhood fuel life long eating habits, our menu is crafted by a Registered Nutritionist and prepared in-house daily and reflects those beliefs.

About The Centre

Located inside the Eagle Ridge United Church on the corner of Glen and Lansdowne Drive, BrightPath Coquitlam is a small centre that packs a punch. It offers a large parking lot and is minutes away from transit, plus only a ten-minute walk from the SkyTrain and West Coast Express.

The centre is proud of its team of early childhood educators. They are a group of dynamic, dedicated and like-minded individuals that inspire each other every day which can be felt as soon as you walk through the doors. With many of the staff having a background in Reggio Emilia, they have worked toward creating a cozy and calming environment that incorporates natural materials. This extends to their outdoor play space which features large, established trees that offer natural shade and cooling breezes.

Fully licensed, the centre offers care for 6-week to 5-year olds with 59 spaces. Fully ground level, it also offers easy access for strollers and wheelchairs.

Lisa LeBlanc, Centre Director
BrightPath Coquitlam

Meet The Centre Director

Lisa graduated from Douglas College in 1997 with a certificate in Early Childhood Education and a diploma in Special Needs. She joined the BrightPath team in 2002 and is now the Director of the Coquitlam Centre. As she strongly believes in the value of growth and education, Lisa regularly attends workshops and conferences to increase her knowledge, skills and abilities.

Lisa’s favourite part about being a Director with BrightPath is that she has the incredible opportunity to support families and children to feel successfully integrated within the Centre. As well, Lisa enjoys being a positive model for other educators as they strive for success within their classrooms. Lisa has realised that supporting the creation of the right atmosphere helps both families and educators feel valued and well cared for.

Lisa and her husband were married in 1999 and are parents to two wonderful girls. They enjoy spending time together and in the company of close extended family while camping and doing things outdoors. She would love to travel as she enjoys meeting people from diverse cultures and observing different environments. Lisa is actively involved in Girl Guides of Canada as a Leader throughout the school year. Much of her time at work, home and play is spent in the company of children and for this, Lisa feels quite fortunate!
