What Sets Us Apart

Our award-winning curriculum was formed through in-depth research into early childhood learning and development. A blend of play-based (Frog Street) and child-led (Emergent) curriculums, all activities are hands-on, child-guided and exceed provincial early learning frameworks.

Our dedicated and passionate early childhood educators deliver an innovative, engaging and proven curriculum that ignites a love of learning and inspires and encourages individuality in every BrightPath child. Their nurturing and attentive approach offers each child a home-away-from-home experience.

Two-way communication is important. Monthly newsletters, curriculum nights, parent interviews, open houses and our proprietary app (BrightPath Connect™) are designed to increase the interaction between our centres and families.

Children need nutrition to grow in both mind and body. Believing that food choices throughout childhood fuel life long eating habits, our menu is crafted by a Registered Nutritionist and prepared in-house daily and reflects those beliefs.

Simardeep “Simi” Panesar, Centre Director
BrightPath Appleby

Meet The Centre Director

Simi has been caring for children since 2013. She received her Early Childhood Education diploma from Sheridan College, graduating with high honours. She started working at BrightPath Appleby in 2015, working in the preschool classroom, then with the toddlers and infants. She was the Assistant Director for a year before moving up to her current role as Centre Director.

Simi’s favourite part of working as Centre Director is being able to see the children grow each day. She loves to share the special and funny stories of the children’s day with their families. Simi enjoys being part of an amazing educator team. She enjoys helping and guiding her educators to learn more and loves to be able to witness them engage with the development of the children.

Simi is Indian and was born and raised in Stoney Creek, Ontario and still fluently speaks Punjabi. Her full name is Simardeep but she prefers to be called Simi. She enjoys spending time with family and friends as well as participating in new adventurous activities. She loves to travel and try new foods, and in her spare time she loves to hang out with her four-legged love, her pooch Chico.
