Position: Marketing Coordinator

Location:  BrightPath Head Office – 3280 Bloor Street West, Toronto, ON

 

Position Description:

BrightPath Kids Corp is looking to add a talented and dedicated Marketing Coordinator to the Etobicoke Ontario office.

The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for ensuring efficient day-to-day operation and promotion of the office and support the work of management and other staff.

Reporting to the Director, Marketing, this key role will be responsible for assisting in the development of marketing with a focus on copywriting and content creation.

 

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Writing effective call-to-action statements, original SEO content
  • Writing compelling copy across all marketing channels, including website copy, email campaigns, blog posts, video scripts, and digital and print ads
  • Ability to adapt style and tone of voice to suit our brand
  • Edit and proofread written pieces before publication on the website and other marketing channels
  • Design marketing collaterals and digital creatives, including web content, social assets, and others
  • Manage and oversee the company’s social media accounts
  • Drive brand consistency across all company communication
  • Implementation of marketing strategies, including advertising campaigns, content marketing, promotional materials, and other projects
  • Work closely with all the internal departments on individual projects and needs
  • Regular website maintenance (WordPress): update and format content, create new pages/microsites/landing pages, monitor website for performance and updates

  • Organized and able to and project manage effectively
  • Can manage their time well and to meet deadlines but, flexible enough to reprioritize when deadlines change
  • Resourceful and can find new and better ways to reach out clients
  • Detail oriented and a great communicator – able to write and edit work with a diligent eye for detail, language, flow, and grammar
  • Can work independently

 The ideal candidate has:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or equivalent experience
  • 2-3 years’ experience in content marketing, copywriting and /or content development
  • Experience with online advertising, social media marketing, search engine marketing (SEM), and search engine optimization (SEO)
  • Experience with social media tools and platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Hootsuite, Sprout Social, and others
  • Experience working with automation marketing tools such as HubSpot
  • Proficiency and hands-on experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
  • Working knowledge of HTML and CSS coding is an asset
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Word, Excel, MS Project, and PowerPoint
