BrightPath Academy is a part of the ABC Academy Family.

The BrightPath Academy Curriculum was designed using the latest research into early childhood learning and development. It not only exceeds the provincial Early Learning Framework standards and the provincial Kindergarten Curriculum expectations, it incorporates a strong academic approach while recognising the significance of play and sets children on a quest for meaningful learning experiences full of joy, enthusiasm and empathy.

The program will highlight key literacy and numeracy skills required for future academic success by exposing the children to an environment dedicated to supporting their learning and exploration of the world around them. The focus will be on developing each child’s independence and self-confidence under the careful guidance and leadership of a well-qualified team of educators.

Every learning space will incorporate distinctive learning materials, with each item specifically selected to support the child’s interest and learning. Music, movement and creative arts will also be an integral part of the daily learning experience.

Biodiversity and sustainability (BP Green Program) are incorporated into our daily planning.

The Green Program is designed to develop a deep connection with the natural world. It focuses on the importance of sharing the planet, fostering environmental stewardship and offers rich sensory stimulation.

The centre is non-denominational and is located inside the Habonim Forest Hill Synagogue.

Centre Director

Donna started working in childhood education in 1989. She has had the pleasure of working with Infants, Toddlers, Preschool, Jr. Kindergarten and School-Age children. Believing in education, Donna continues to attend various workshops to develop her skills.

There are many aspects of being a Director that Donna enjoys. She likes to work with staff to ensure that every child meets his/her full potential and that parents feel comfortable in leaving their child in a safe secure environment while at the centre. She strives to create a positive environment while developing great relationships with parents to ensure children feel confident to explore, experiment, make friends and have fun!

Born and raised in Scotland, Donna came to Canada in her early twenties. She enjoys the different cultures and varied environments that can be found in the GTA as she is able to go from a major metropolis to small towns and countryside in only a few kilometers without the wait on the highway. Donna lives with her dog and enjoys visiting the local dog park with her. In her spare time, she loves to read, cook and spend time with many friends, especially in or around the water. Donna loves FaceTime as it allows her to have coffee with her parents and spend time with her far-away family.

What our families think about BrightPath Academy Forest Hill

"After researching daycare after daycare, my husband and I came across a new centre that matched our ideals and the interests of our son. BrightPath Academy made the transition easy, and gave me the confidence that my little one is in great hands. Since the beginning, their caring support, (beyond!) clean facility, and educational programming has made this experience a positive one for the whole family. Thank you, BrightPath Academy! I would give you more than 5 stars if I could!!"

Danielle Park Wiseman

"My infant joined BrightPath Academy in August 2019 and the staff made him feel so welcomed, loved and happy that he transitioned seamlessly. He loves going to the centre where everyone there is so kind, patient and amazing! The staff and management have created such a warm and welcoming environment for children and their families. They have wonderful home-cooked meals, right down to the oven baked oatmeal and protein bars as a sometime snack. They provide programming that includes a mixture of math/numeracy, science/nature, language/literacy, creative arts, sensory simulation, physical literacy and emergent planning that keeps my son engaged and thriving. They gladly made adjustments for our son’s plant-based diet. They also have an app that allows you to check in, view weekly programs and pictures of what your child is up to during the day. At the end of each day, you are sent a daily report that shows you such detail right down to the number of bathroom breaks, what your child ate at each meal and how much and length of naps. The centre is so well-kept, and the staff is highly professional. We continue to have such a positive experience at BrightPath and recommend this daycare to any parent looking for high-quality childcare. 5 stars!"
